Duo Impromptu (Updated Rules & Ballot for 2024)
Hey, we're just making this up as we go along! This is a non-NITOC and just for fun event incorporating teamwork, limited preparation, and interpretative skills. Teams of two will have a limited time (3 min) to prepare and deliver a performance (3 min) on a topic or scenario provided to them at the event.
You must register with a unique partner. If you want to participate (but don't have a partner) then put "TBD" as your partner and Mrs. DeRosa (Registrar) will attempt to team you with another single. If you register with a non-unique partner (e.g. you register with a partner that someone else also signs up with) then you will be treated as TBD per above. Registering for Duo Impromptu allows the tournament to partner you with someone - and we are pleased that you will happily accept.
Duo Impromptu is an "extra" event and does not count towards the 6 event limit in speech. It will be scheduled during Pattern A or B, once we have a better understanding of registration (likely to be in the opposite pattern from Duo Interp).
